Extroverted Thinking (Te): Hermione strives to bring order where there is none, going so far as to organize extensive charts, study plans, and homework for the boys. The first time they meet her, she is heading up a search for Neville’s toad. Ron finds her “bossy” at first, because she so easily slides into a position of leadership, which later makes her a good Prefect, able to confront and keep students in line, without allowing her personal emotions to influence her actions. Hermione always chooses the most ethical and logical approach, such as turning in Harry’s brand new broom for inspection, because she fears it was sent by an enemy. She is so time-efficient that not only is all her homework finished in advance, McGonagall trusts her with a Time Turner in her third year.
Introverted Sensing (Si): She frequently references things she has read about, in explaining how things work at Hogwarts (“I read about it in Hogwarts, A History!”). Hermione comfortably adapts to a schedule and doesn’t mind a routine that involves study sessions and extensive research. She enjoys digesting information and can remember it in enormous quantities, which helps her ace all of her exams. Hermione enjoys participating in the traditions around Hogwarts and doesn’t like Ron and Harry breaking the rules; she trusts them, because they have kept Hogwarts safe and efficient for many years. She trusts the texts in her textbooks to be accurate, and becomes frustrated when Harry follows a new set of instructions, to great success (no, that can’t be right; it’s not what the book says!).
Extroverted Intuition (Ne): Her interest in the unknown prompts her to be a voracious reader, even though she prefers to keep her manufacturing of ideas on topic and on serious matters (discerning motivations of adversaries, coming up with possible solutions to problems, etc). Hermione quickly discerns from her books and observing of Lupin’s behavior that he is a werewolf; her instincts are often right about other students. She is sometimes reluctant to commit to one idea or conclusion about someone else.
Introverted Feeling (Fi): As a child, when she is disliked, Hermione goes off by herself to cry; she is sensitive and kind but not always aware of how to express her feelings, which leads her into a continual tug of war with Ron in which her feelings for him translate into bossiness. Hermione feels strongly that her friends ought to share the same moral reservations about House Elves that she does, and is annoyed when they show little interest in helping out with S.P.E.W. When making decisions based entirely on those emotions, she can be somewhat irrational.
Extroverted Feeling (Fe): find ways to take care of others, make them comfortable, and put them at ease. Comfortable in a wide range of social situations. Stand as a worthy ethical role model for others. Value fairness and form intimate connections with many to meet their needs. Desire a sense of togetherness. Recognize and adhere to shared values, feelings, and social norms to create harmony. Feel an intimate oneness with others and comfortably disclose feelings, values, and issues. Warmly offer praise and respect and enjoy the support of others. Offer many chances to make amends.
Introverted Sensing (Si): build on prior knowledge and experience to ensure success. Notice if something doesn’t match what is expected. Recall detailed data to support their decisions. Recognize familiar elements so they can act quickly. Trust common experiences and feel energized by participating in traditions to solidify the group or family. Follow others’ successful endeavors when trying something new. Reviewing the past to draw on the lessons of history, hindsight, and experience to feel a sense of security about the future.
Extroverted Intuition (Ne): enjoy spending time exploring new ideas or hidden meanings. Engage in conversations where potential possibilities are explored. The desire to connect the details of their wealth of data and experiences. Desire to learn about the unknown and hone their skills. Tendency toward being naïve at times.
Introverted Thinking (Ti): desire to objectively understand and appreciate others, but blindsided by an emotional disconnect. Detached analysis looks like heartlessness. Aspire to get things right by accurately understanding and applying principles to everyday interactions (often through extensive research).
Margaery Tyrell is driven to take care of the people of King’s Landing. She has an extraordinary ability to connect to and bring a sense of unity between them and herself, which contributes to her immense popularity. She judges no one and even tries to make Renly comfortable by reassuring him that his preferences do not matter to her, and she will concede to whatever makes him happy. Margaery knows how to appeal to the emotions of her intended, and uses different tactics with each of them (Fe). She even feels sorry for the awful manner of Joffrey’s death. Margaery is impatient in her desire for the throne. Her desires are all based in the present; she can quickly adapt to any situation, but falls back on methods others have used in the past to great success (feeding the poor, taking and trusting her grandmother’s advice) (Si).
She knows how to read others and appeal to their desires (Fe-Ne). Margaery is intrigued by new ideas but also somewhat naive in her approach to problem solving; her dreams about liberating and protecting Sansa through marriage to her brother are fanciful and unrealistic (Ne). She tries to give others the benefit of the doubt, but relies more on her grandmother’s advice than her own logical instincts to solve bad situations (inferior Ti).
Iron Man / The Avengers: Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow [ISTP]
Ti: Natasha is smart. She considers everything from a logical perspective, calculating her odds and considering alternate options rather than sticking to any one plan. She asks “what if?” rather than concentrates on what is known, which makes her able to revise her plans on the fly and adapt to new complications and situations.
Se: She uses the world around her to her advantage; she’s aware of what’s happening and unafraid of failure. Action excites and stimulates her rather than frightens her. She’s quick to take action and eager for new experiences.
Ni: Her total awareness of her surroundings together with her instincts helps her foresee potential problems and resolve them in advance. She can see through people’s fabrications and discern their motives so that she can turn them to her advantage.
Fe: Charming and poised, Natasha can make other people see in her what they want her to be; she finds it easy to manipulate others in this manner (Tony and Loki both underestimate her), but she’s somewhat disconnected from her own emotions and uncomfortable when she must deal with them.
Extroverted Thinking (Te): approach life in an organized manner. Establish order out of chaos. Create step by step procedures to complete complex tasks. Organize people and things to work efficiently. Determine success by objective methods. Set contingency plans in place. Control emotions. Keen sense of time management. Conform their thinking to measurable facts. Challenge logic that doesn’t match theirs.
Introverted Intuition (Ni): powerful insights into what is likely to happen; use that information to accomplish goals. Foreknowledge of how things will turn out. Automatic knowledge of the steps to set things in motion. Able to “see” a person or idea’s path with startling accuracy.
Extroverted Sensing (Se): enjoying the tangible pleasures of life. Keen appreciation of how things look, feel, and taste. Noticing relevant facts in the sea of data. Automatically aware of where they and things are in their physical space. Enjoy the thrill of action and physical experience. Engage in opportunistic risk taking.
Introverted Feeling (Fi): strong beliefs that go unexplored and ignored. See no distinctions in the varying worth of things. Can be convinced their values are right for everyone. Desire to contribute to something worthwhile that is greater than themselves. Loyal to what they believe in. Regret emotional outbursts.
Chuck Bass knows what he wants and how to get it. He spends his younger years goofing off, but then settles down to serious business in determining how to run Bass Industries and take down his father. He can put aside personal feelings and desires to accomplish his goals (making an agreement with Blair that they won’t be together until both of them succeed in the real world). He finds it easy to organize events and get others to do what he wants (Te). Chuck uses his foresight to anticipate his enemies’ movements and thwart them; he works toward a single vision of uncovering his father’s evil schemes, never wavering once he determines his course (Ni).
He enjoys fine things and reckless experiences – beautiful women, fast cars, dangerous events. Chuck sometimes leaps into a situation without fully thinking it through, since he so desires a rich sensory or sensual experience (Se). He refuses to compromise or back down, but also has trouble admitting to his intense personal feelings toward the people he loves most (inferior Fi).

Blair Waldorf goes from being the “queen bee” in her high school to wanting to be the toast of New York society as a fashion designer. She cares very much about what other people think about her, and expresses her emotions openly. Unfortunately, Blair can also be quite cruel to others; she understands their emotions and both how to appeal to them to get what she wants and how to hurt them (Fe). Blair is traditional. At first, she merely wants to fulfill her family’s expectations of her and marry Nate. Later, she maintains the traditions of the school and tries to walk in her mother’s footsteps. Movies help shape her dreams – she models herself after bygone heroines like Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn, and struggles to want to change herself or her life – in her mid-twenties, she’s still wearing headbands and clinging to old social rules (Si).
Her creativity comes in handy both for business and manipulating situations to her advantage; Blair is able to connect her own experiences with new ideas and find ways to recover from bad situations (Ne). She can be a little overly romantic and naïve when dealing with others. She trusts her emotional connection to people and charm to get her through problems, but is able to step back and think critically about people and situations. But doing so is always to support either her concern for them or her desire to use them in some way (inferior Ti).
Introverted Intuition (Ni): Yuno is very good at perceiving other people around her’s actions, especially Yuuki. Often times, it seems like ideas just come to her rather than focusing on reality and coming up with them. She has a mystical aura pinned to her which Yuuki, being a likely Si user, picks up on himself. However, she often loses touch with reality which is highly reflected in her impulsive actions.
Extroverted Feeling (Fe): Her feelings toward Yuuki and how she treats him demonstrate her compassion for the people around her, although at times she may seem insensitive and unwavered by other’s emotions. When she tries to shelter Yuuki from the truth about the game, she is ultimately trying to protect his feelings.
Introverted Thinking (Ti): Although Yuno at times may seem impulsive, her plans are carried out by quick thinking inside her own mind. She’s intelligient and fast to solve problems and find solutions.
Extroverted Sensing (Se): Yuno has a very weak Se function, mainly because it is shown throughout the series of her loosing grip with reality and what is true. She often times could be called “delusional” since she is so caught up in her own world to realize the truth in the real world.
Introverted Sensing (Si): Bunny loves to do things his way and is reluctant to try new ones. The best example is when he very much prefers to use his tunnels instead of North’s sleigh for traveling, no matter how much everyone loves it. He also takes rules and plans very seriously and at first isn’t willing to let Jack Frost, someone he knows does nothing to protect or help the kids, become a guardian, nor anyone else for that matter, he thinks they don’t need help to defeat Pitch, since they already did once just the four of them. He still remembers the last time he saw Jack in the blizzard of ‘68 and still is mad at him for that encounter. He’s also very attuned to nature.
Extroverted Thinking (Te): Bunny has the whole Easter day planned, is very busy working on the many eggs he’s got to make for that day and of course initially very annoyed for North’s lack of consideration when he called them to go to the North Pole. He’s also very good at fast thinking, as showed in the tooth hunt scene and extremely dedicated to protecting children and working on his holiday.
Introverted Feeling (Fi): Bunny doesn’t usually show his soft side and is initially very hostile to Jack (though as Jack says: “Awww, you do care”) but after they work on Easter together, he warms up to him. He also starts taking quite a liking to Sophie after Jack sparks that snowflake on him and seems to like to look after and spend time with her.
Extroverted Intuition (Ne): It takes him a while to open up but he does when he sees new alternatives will be useful and trustworthy. Despite doubting Jack when he betrayed them on Easter Day by going to see Pitch and getting his memories, Jack rearns Bunny’s trust once he learns he made Jamie believe in him again. Also, he later admits the sleigh isn’t as bad and that everyone loves it indeed.
Note: I know I haven’t typed a character since Christmas (sorry for being a terrible co-mod, Charity), so I thought I’d do the same again for Easter as a tribute to both Bunny and the holidays. Happy Easter everyone!
